Is the Mexican place still open in Loma Rica? A Mexican joint would be so great!!!! As long as they have shrimp fajita quesadillas! And really good salsa! Maybe we could talk Tortillaria Flores to open up???

some information I got re: pot growing supply stores: "The " garden" supply store in Hallwood is totally pot growers supplies as is the Two Chicks garden store on Yuba Street." Probably the only businesses that make any money right now.

A mexican food joint is the best idea yet. There is one in Loma Rica but it could use a some healthy competition. Personally, I am not too keen on that place. Its not very authentic and they never get my order right. I grew up on great mexican food and that place leaves much to be desired. They have come through for me when I needed a quick lunch so for that I am appreciative.

Why would you put quotations around garden? Do you think that the supplies sold in these stores only work for pot? Do you not consider the place where pot grows to be a garden? Found that peculiar...

The City of Live Oak is proposing an ordinance that wold prohibit cultivtion of medical marijuana within the City Limits, due to the public nuisances and public safety concerns that occur from its cultivation.

This landlord is notorious in this area for not caring much about the area.  Do you think he cares 2 cents for what we wjould like to have at the site or are we just fantasizing with all these suggestions?

Hey brownssvalleybear, are you going to buy all the things that I need elsewhere that cost too much that you brag so much about that are made here in the USA?
Do you pay my bills? NO so shut up on what and where people purchase the things they need to survive in this screwed up economy, sorry but my survival is much more important than my patriotism at that level.I LOVE MY COUNTRY BUT NOT MY GOVERNMENT!!!
And why dont you ask all those corporations that bailed on the USA to do business elsewhere, why dont you argue with them? You sir are a moron!!!!!

I LOVE MY COUNTRY BUT NOT MY GOVERNMENT!!! that's a true statement right there!!! I try to support the local economy to the best i can. one thing i have found is you but quality (USA) it usually last way longer, so in the end it's well worth it, just my opinion, everyone is entitled to one or two no matter how screwed up it is.

The Sheriff said at a meeting recently that they have pulled over 400 plants from "legal" gardens. I think all California legal grows should have to be registered with the county Sheriffs Dept.

    I totally agree charlie,

This last week was a huge deal.

It was a great success @ the Yuba meeting, this county has one of the most accepting DA,Sheriff and Board of Supervisors we have been before in quite some time, the planning dept has already viewed our 1st draft ordinance. Most couties dont invest time and yes $$ and so the MMJ issue goes unanswered. This county has made huge strides towards acceptance of legitimate mmj growers versus the criminal enterprises which have existed without proper laws and guidelines to follow. The Sheriff gave a great pro and con's presentation that made perfect sense. We have to find common ground and eliminate scary grow situations and replace them with compliant growers and safe security measures. We cannot allow growers to cause a abnormal nuissance to others in the communities were medical marijuana patients are located. Also we need growers rights observed and not infringed upon, a registry would allow growers to be issued certificates that would be signals to law enforcement that the grower os involved with the Yuba program and is legal for his plants to be growing.
