A fire damaged a Dobbins mobile home early Wednesday morning, fire officials said.

The fire started in the double-wide trailer 3:40 a.m. on the 10000 block of Maidu Trail in Dobbins, said Cal Fire Capt. Tom Webb. When fire crews arrived, the fire had “fully engulfed” the mobile home, he added. They contained the blaze two hours later.

There were no reports of injuries, Webb said. Fire officials were not sure if anyone was in the mobile home when the fire started.

This family has children at YES Charter Academy. The school is collecting donations for the family if you have any clothing, toys, and household items that you can spare for them. The children lost all of their Christmas toys and clothing. Lions Club is also planning a spaghetti feed very soon if you would like to donate to them to help this family.

Really sad! The memory of this is going to stay with them - just unbelievable! I'm feeling for the family - it's my understanding that all seven of them lost everything - Folks we really need to help this family and I know you will come through - people in the Foothills are extra nice!

They have 2 sons, ages 10 and 11 or 12, and 2 daughters, ages 13 and an older teen. They have the clothing they need now but they will need to have all of the other things that it takes to raise a family- appliances, bed sheets, toys, furniture, etc.

I don't know what sizes they need, but a close friend/family member is coordinating efforts. Please call Jemima Bugarin at (530)301-7381 to find out more specific information about specific needs. Please also go to the Lions Club Spaghetti Feed and support this fund raiser for the family.
