The Morning Star  is a mixed -age nursery and preschool program, inspired by Waldorf education located in Oregon House.  The program is open to children 1.5  through 5 years old. The goal is to nurture and protect the young child’s sense of wonder and imagination.  Children are encouraged to play, explore and imagine in a loving environment filled with natural materials.  Daily activities provide a comforting and reliable rhythm, including bread making and baking, watercolor painting, beeswax modeling, and puppet plays. Songs, nature walks, and stories honor the natural world and changing seasons. Seasonal festivals foster a connection to the cycle of the year.
