decide which posts are of interest to Yuba foothills residents and just arbitrarily deletes them!?!

A whole bunch of transit related posts that were just posted and have been deleted!  Not everyone drives a car and there are people up here who depend on transit services!

...no doubt this post will be deleted as well!

Welcome to America, the land of the free...woo-hoo!

posts relating to advertising a business and what they have to offer are reserved for our advertisers.

It is/was my understanding that this website was created in order for the foothill residents to have a place to share INFORMATION about our community.

I did NOT see the posts that you removed. However, if they were about Yuba-Sutter Transit bus service then those of us here in the foothills do NOT consider them as a "business" but as a SERVICE to the FootHills community same as PG&E and AT&T, etc. If we can't discuss the bus service, or how good the food/service is at a local resturant then what purpose is this forum?

discussion is fine, advertising is for advertisers. not all the posts on the transit topic were deleted, just the ones that we felt were advertisements.  There are always topics on this site comparing services/businesses, that was NOT the case with the deleted advertisements.

I had the same problem last year when I was trying to let the community know about heartworm disease and leptospirosis up here. I spoke to the site manager, but frankly the message I left with was that if it can possibly generate money for the site that is the bottom line...not community service.

Actually, no we were not trying to sell services. We were trying to inform folks about two common health problems in the area. Especially as regards Leptospirosis which is also a disease of people we were trying to get information out about this common and often fatal disease that we saw three cases of last fall. I believe you are quite aware that that was the case per our rather lengthy conversation.

We also did not hear back from you when we requested more information about advertising as well. Very strange management style.

Froglet, I alway find your updates helpful and truly appreciate them.  With tick season right around the corner, I'll be looking for the tick collars you recommended for my dogs. I live in an area that is problematic for ticks. I won't be purchasing them from Prarie (no offense meant) but do appreciate you letting us know about them.

Ultrabella, thank you for the information you posted regarding YubaTransit.  I'm a commuter and have been to busy to purchase my monthly pass and was planning on going into town to purchase one this weekend.  Your post informed me that they were only available through the 7th at the local outlets. You saved me a wasted trip into town.  Man, I would have been PI**ED had I taken time out of my weekend AND wasted gas only to find out the passes were no longer available.  P.S. - how dare you post information about PUBLIC transportation (dripping with sarcasm)

Willow Glen, I think you have shown a true interest in the communiy by hosting various community oriented events and letting us know about them.  Thank You

Now, let's not get too down on the site administrator, or they wil pull this thread like they did last time.  They REALLY don't like negative comments being posted about them.

    Have a good one!

    lisamayc,
No offense taken. If folks can keep their pets safe and themselves that is what matters to me.
