Sunday shooting on Indiana School Rd

Last Sunday afternoon someone around Indiana School Rd./Quail Meadow was shooting like there was a war going on.

I respect the right to have firearms and enjoy them for recreation but the noise created was intense. There are designated facilities where you can go and have fun.

Please consider other people too. People that wish to take a walk and spend a beautiful afternoon but think twice when they hear gunshots down the road, or just want to enjoy some quietness in these glorious hills after a week of craziness in town.

Population is increasing in the Foothills, houses are closer. Consideration for one's neighbor should be just a basic aspect of living in a community, particularly when small like ours.

    Thank you for your attention.

I to heard that and if you heard it i'm sure you have heard me shooting. Welcome to America where Redneck's exercise their 2nd Amendment Right's. Sorry if that frightens you. I have my own shooting range on my property so why would i go anywhere. Do you know that what they are doing is unsafe?? How does what they do on their property concern you?

You are right, why you should go anywhere else when you can shoot on in your property. You are entitled to excercise all your rights what I was referring was more some basic courtesy among fellow neighbors. Give it some thoughts then do what you wish and be happy.

I understand why you wouldnt want to go somewhere else. It frightens animals which sometimes ends up in injuries to them is my problem. Its hard to calm down a hysterical large animal such as a horse, and scares the crap out of the dogs.

I am sorry if my shooting scares your animals. It don't happen often maybe a few times a year. There is nothing i can do about that other say in advance Sorry. Even my dogs run when the big guns fire off, in fact the day they were shooting there was old black lab show up at my place. He was just looking for a place to lay down he found my shop, He was a old gray heard black lab no collar wasn't moving very fast. He stayed a few hours left latter that night. I'm sure he lives over that direction, thats not the first time he has been here to visit. Once again not be rude but if feel the urge to blast off a few rounds it's my right to do so. It always seem to put me in a better mood. I for one feel better knowing my neighbors know their way around a gun.

Alienfuel you dont live by me, I was talking in general because i have neighbors who shoot their guns. Not on a regular basis mind you, but when it happens it does scare the critters. I like the fact that they are comfortable around guns as well. I think an occasional round is fine but if somebody is going to do it regularly and quite often they may consider the problem the neighbors may have with it. Heck, iv'e been known to shoot my own gun a couple times a year.....lol

Your right to possess and shoot your gun is not in doubt.

I trust, there are people that once aware that their actions cause distress to someone (human or animal), then having a choice they would stop, even if in their right.

If this state would allow silencers, we wouldn't have to worry so much about the noise!

...not to be rude but if I feel the need to blast off, I make Love. After few rounds it always seems to put me in a better mood and I am not the only one happy.
Make love and make all the noise you want :)

sometimes she is more dangerous than any firearm. I have had more bruises, black eyes, and bloody noses from the wife (all in fun) than i'v ever gotten from any gun

contact elected officials and sugetst making silencers legal!!!
By the way a sunday afternoon is a great time to shoot, I'm not happy about the 100 or so rounds fired off at 10:30 at night 2 driveways over. but it is their right and respected.

Be honest, in the rare possibility that silencers would be legal how many of you shooters would start to complain about more regulations, more government interference, money to spend and so on....

I personally think that regulations limit the people ability to think by themselves. At the same time how many of us fully, deeply understand the verses "When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways."
and so we go from kindergarten to death bed being told what to do and not.

If we really want to put an end to governments, war, poverty,evil....we need to grow up.

ooops...maybe I went too much off topic but these forums are so therapeutic, better than a shrink or taking anti depressant :)
