Marty's half price deals

The Grand Jury came out with a report that the Yuba County Building Department was having a half price deal for "selected" clients.  Oops, didn't have official approval from the Supervisors.  Now the Chief Building Officer, Marty Griffin, is on the hot seat for his transgressions.

However, insider information, staff personnel working in the building dept. at the time, has it that Marty wasn't actually responsible.  And why would he jeopardize his job?  He didn't. He was was forced to go along, or else.

Who are the real culprits (who surely wish to remain anonymous) in this latest episode of “let's break the rules” in Yuba County. Quite sad.

The Chief Building Official was DIRECTED to make these "deals" happen. the county knows who made the decision
(no longer employed) but they arent going to tell the people of Yuba County. so lets talley up the cost so far... because of the grand jury report and that SCUM BAG ben vandemer at the appeal NOT asking questions BEFORE publishing this "case" has now cost the people of yuba county big dollars that could have gone to better uses such as road improvements, new play equipement for kids parks, etc... the grand jury should have done their research before making this big deal without knowing all the facts. so now the county has spent another $50,000 bucks to research a @ $20,000 (total in fees). EVERY BUILDING IN THIS COUNTY has been inspected by the county inspectors to make sure that they meet the minimums to ensure that when you fill up your car the vapors dont cause an explosion. to make sure that when your in walmart it wont catch on fire and if it did you and your family could get out safely. to make sure your house where you and your family live isnt going to fall over while your sleeping and kill you and your family. ETC. the building department works very hard weather you like them or not to protect you and yours from the bad contractors out there as well as from yourselves (sometimes). lets all stop this bull of "the building department is bad" when in actuallity the board of supervisors should be held responsible for paying back the money that was "lost". they directed them they should re-imburse it. and.... Stupervisor vasques... at a "townhall" meeting at the linda fire department when he first was sort of elected he called the county building official and inspectors the "building nazis" and MADE them sit in the back of the room. VERY professional you worthless piece of ..... "dean sellers misplaced 2 million plus but never saw a single investigator but when the building official was DIRECTED to make these fees he gets roasted. complete bull..

my 2 cents worth. like it or not the people of this county need to know the facts.

Who should be held accountable? Those Supervisors sitting on the Board at the time, you would think. Of course, they're running for cover, and for re-election. Hey, let's vote them back in office. How many scoundrels can Yuba County support? Your tax dollars at work, Yuba style.
